The first way, institution creates the interdependence between states and states. The cooperation between states and states in the international institutions makes them depend on each other because they share the mutual benefit together in order improve their development. Throughout this point, the war is less likely to occur because if the war takes place the states will lose their profit and the development will turn down as well. The best example to that case is the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, APEC. All the members of APEC are closely working and cooperating together in order to conduct the trade (Aggarwal & Morrison, 1999). Historically, several members of that international institution were enemy; however, after becoming the member of the APEC, those states are relatively work with each other and share the mutual benefit to improve their economic growth. Hence, the war and conflict among the member states are less likely to happen. Besides APEC, NAFTA also plays an important role in promoting peace in the region. Similar to the first example, it makes the states depend on each other in term of economic development and provides the free flow of trade. Moreover, the U.S which is one of the members of this international institution cannot put the pressure to the other states that have less power. It means that it reduce the unilateral decision of the powerful states.

Furthermore, mutual help also plays a role to encourage the peace to the world. The international institution is really capable to solidify among member states. Thus, all the members in the international institution are very helpful in term of assisting each other if the other members meet the problems. They would try their best to help the suffering members in order to push them out of the problems. During 2009 Greece is the only one country that faces the difficulty in paying debt. Therefore, when seeing this crisis, all the EU members did not stand still, especially the Eurozone (Jackson, 2009). They tried very hard to seek the solutions in order to solve that crisis. As a result, they could push Greece out of the crisis. Similarly, in 2010 the Ireland, one of the EU members also counters the same problem like Greece which is financial crisis. Dealing with this issue, all the EU members again are trying to find the ways to bring the Ireland out of this crisis. Even though the Ireland government does not request the help from the EU, all the EU members also still try to seek the ways to help this country (Ireland's austerity measures - next stop default?, n.d.). It shows that the international institution is vital in enhancing the states behavior by caring only one self to caring the others that are living in the same institution.

Last but not least, the international institution encourages the states to solve the disputes or conflicts by peaceful means. Of course, the institutional liberalism discourages state to conduct the war and make them to solve the conflict through negotiation. This point can elaborate by the case of Cambodia and Thailand border conflict in 2008. Both Cambodian and Thailand are the members of the ASEAN, and the conflict occurred when these two countries claim the some territory in the Preah Vihear Temple area to be their own. Although the conflict had been more seriously from time to time, the war between these two countries still not occurs yet because through the sense of ASEAN, both Cambodia and Thailand try to negotiation bilaterally and prevent the war to happen (Thailand, Cambodia pledge to end border conflict, 2008). Furthermore, all the ASEAN members try to push these countries to come to negotiation in the ASEAN as well. As consequences, the institutional liberalism is very significant to promoting peace to the regions as well as to the world, and also make all the people live peacefully with one another.
